JANICE WEILAND
Janice Weiland was born and raised in Quincy, IL. She has seven siblings--three sisters and four brothers--most of whom still live within a thirty mile radius.
Much of Janice's writing stems from childhood memory; memories of long, hot drives cross-country, of fishing, swimming and skiing in Arkansas, and of donuts and hot chocolate on the way to Hot Springs.
Her most treasured memory is of her father inviting one of his co-workers home for Sunday dinner; she fell in love with his bright and shiny motorcycle. Two weeks later, Janice realized she'd fallen in love more with the man on the motorcycle.
Janice's two passions are writing and singing. As a teenager she would think up song lyrics, but never wrote them down. Little did she know that a few years down the road, she'd be recording her first song, putting together a book of poetry, and writing inspirational devotions. She gives the Lord all the credit; "All I know is, the Lord has been so wonderful to my husband, our family, and me. We will praise him always."
Janice and her husband, Wayne, have been married 41 years. They have two great sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and four beautiful grandchildren.
