BONNIE RICE
Bonnie Rice is the mother of four adult sons, the grandmother of two (three in January) and for the past 29 years has been married to the same wonderful, crazy man.
A freelance writer and non-fiction author with a BA in English and a Ph.D in life, she uses personal experience combined with research that has been necessary to survive in order to help others work through life's complications. Her first book, "Life Has Its Ups and Downs: With a Bipolar Spouse" was inspired by her marriage and her desire to offer help to others when she had none. She has also written on subjects such as home organization and frugal living.
Bonnie can be spotted all over Quincy on her blue scooter, making her way through traffic just as she's made her way through parenting, poverty, disorganization and marriage to a spouse suffering from bipolar disorder--a man who has loved her no matter what. Having retired from her days as the Walgreens cosmetics girl, she can usually be found at home in front of the computer working on her next book.
She also spends plenty of time at her church and substituting at the Early Childhood Family Center.
While it's hard for Bonnie to hear her phone on the scooter, you can reach her anytime by email.
